Shock Analytics, submitted under the name EasySVR, was announced today as a finalist for the inaugural DevelUPmed Challenge. Shock Analytics has developed a device that will measure systemic vascular resistance in patients with sepsis and heart failure.
As a finalist of DevelUPmed, Shock Analytics will participate in the I-Corps Business Accelerator, have a working prototype of the device designed by professional developers, and pitch to investors at the DevelUPmed Demo Day in September 2016. If Shock Analytics wins the Challenge, it will receive a $50,000 offer of investment from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA.
DevelUPmed identifies medical device and diagnostic technologies with commercial potential and accelerates them from idea to prototype stage and beyond through a startup company mechanism. The challenge is administered by PCI Ventures at the Penn Center for Innovation.
